Civil Defense and Home Guards Recruitment 2024: Eligibility Criteria
(i) Name of Vacancy: Constable

Pay Scale: PB-2 of Rs. 14,000 to Rs. 60,500 + Grade Pay and additional benefits allowed by law.
Educational Qualification: Candidates must have passed the H.S.L.C or an equivalent examination from a recognized Board or Council.
Additional Requirement: Applicants must hold a Home Guard Certificate or at least an NCC ‘A’ Certificate. (for applicants except Ex-Servicemen). Please note that those who have a High School Leaving Certificate (H.S.L.C.) but do not have a Home Guards Training Certificate or a minimum NCC ‘A’ Certificate are not eligible to apply.

Educational Qualification: Candidates must have passed the H.S.L.C or an equivalent examination from a recognized Board or Council.
Additional Qualification:
a) A certificate of 02 (two) years of experience in dresser (medical) work from an institute approved by the government.
b) Trade skills, such as understanding of contamination, tool sterilization and disinfection, chlorine solution preparation, aseptic and antiseptic conditions, decontamination process, and cleaning and bandaging of wounds and other afflicted body parts.
Civil Defence and Home Guards Recruitment: Other Criteria
Nationality: Applicants must be Indian citizens who have lived in Assam permanently.
Employment Exchange Registration: Applicants need to register their name with a local employment exchange in Assam.
Local Language Proficiency: Candidates must be proficient in Assamese or any other State language.
Age Criteria: As of January 1, 2024, a candidate cannot be less than 18 or older than 40 years .
