Directorate of Women & Child Development, Assam has issued two employment notifications to hire 315 various positions under “Shakti Sadan” and 343 posts of One Stop Centre under Mission Shakti for various districts under Women and Child Development (WCD) Department, Assam.

Women & Child Development Recruitment 2024 Eligibility criteria

Educational Qualification & Experience:

1. Resident Superintendent

Any woman having a Masters in Law/ Social Work/ Sociology/Social Science/Psychology with at least 5 years” experience of working on women related relevant domains in an administrative set-up with a Government or Non-Government project/ programme and preferably with at least 1-year experience of counselling either within or outside the same set-up.

Candidate should be preferably a resident of the local community so that local human resource and expertise is utlised for effective functioning of the centre.

2. Office Assistant

Any person who is a graduate with a minimum of 3- years’ experience in handling office documentation related job with proficiency in working on computers, at state or district level with government or Non Governmental organizations.

3. Multi-purpose Staff

Any person who is literate with knowledge /experience of working in the relevant domain. High School pass or equivalent will be preferred.

4. Cook

Any person who is literate with knowledge /experience of working in the relevant domain. High School pass or equivalent will be preferred.

5. Security Guard/ Night Guard

Any person having at least 2 years” experience of working as security personnel in a government or reputed organization at the district/ state level. He/ she should preferably be retired military/ para-military personnel.

One Stop Centre under Mission Shakti

6. Centre Administrator

Any Women having Masters in Law/ Social Work/ Sociology/Social Science/ Psychology with at least 5 years experience of working on women related relevant domains in an administrative set-up with a Government or Non-Government project/ programme and preferably with at least 1 year experience of counselling either within or outside the same set-up.

For existing staff 3 years experience will be preferred.

She Should be preferably a resident of local Community so that local human resource and expertise is utilized for effective functioning of the center.

7. Case Worker

Any Women having a Bachelor in Law/- Social Work/ Sociology/ Social Science/ Psychology with at least 3 years experience of working on women related relevant domains in a Government or Non-Government project/ programme.

She Should be preferably a resident of local Community so that local human resource and expertise is utilized for effective functioning of the center.

8. Counsellor

Any Women having professional degree/ diploma in psychology/ psychiatry/ neurosciences with a back ground of health sector and preferably with at least 3 experience of working of working within a government or Non-government health project/ programme at district level.

9. Office Assistant

Any Graduate with at least Diploma in computers/ IT etc. with a minimum of 3 years experience in data management, process documentation and web-based reporting formats, video conferencing at state or district level with Government or Non- Government / IT-based organizations.

10. Multi Purpose Staff/ Cook (MPW)

Any Women who is literate with knowledge/ experience of working in the relevant domain. High School pass or equivalent will be preferred. However it would not be applicable for candidates having working experience at One Stop Centre.

11. Security Guard/ Night Guard

Any person having 2 years experience working as security personnel in a Government or reputed organization at the district/ state level. He/she should preferably be retired military / para-military personnel.

Age Limit

The age limit for candidates applying for the WCD Assam Vacancies is as follows:

Minimum Age: 21 Years
Maximum Age: 38 Years

This age limit is calculated as of 1st January 2022. However, age relaxation is applicable as per government rules, which typically benefits reserved category candidates such as SC/ST/OBC, and others as specified in the official notification.
